James Walker, a classically trained percussionist, specializes in mallet percussion and steel pan. He has taught at Ithaca College and Northern Illinois Univ., and has presented mallet percussion clinics across the United States. He has written for Jazz Player Magazine and Percussive Notes, the official magazine of the Percussive Arts Society. His debut CD, Rhyme Or Reason, received world-wide radio airplay. In addition to teaching and performances, he also hosts the mallet percussion forum at tigerbill.com.
