| ack again to fill the stage with performers, the room with sound and your hearts with nostalgia. This 17-piece band, directed by Chip Zellner, will have your toes tapping and - if there is any room - some of us dancing in the aisle. Players include band directors from Monroe, Newtown, and Wilton schools, along with some retired music teachers. Vocalist Jan Maki, a Nonnewaug High School Music Foundation member, has been with the band since 1998. The "Great Music from Great Bands" theme will include signature arrangements from the Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Stan Kenton, Ellington, Basie, and Miller eras. | |
