Anna Hendrickson & Douglas Rubio

Oboist Anna Hendrickson, known for her soulful and accomplished playing, and guitarist Douglas Rubio, an award-winning chamber musician, join forces as a chamber duo for an engaging evening of contemporary classical music. The program features Passages, a premiere by composer Gregory Mertl who has had a long-running connection with Anna Hendrickson. Mertl, who will be on hand to introduce his new piece, has had the privilege of composing music for guitar and oboe separately, but this is the first time he brings the instruments together as a duo.

Anna and Doug have also chosen works to round out the program that complement the premiere.

All the musicians will be available to speak to after the concert.
