12-1 Brunch on the Deck - 1-3 pm World Music Concert

Aspetuck Frame Drummers: Diane Kinkade, Karen Hotchkiss, Andy Pyle and leader, John Marshall. Their original compositions are performed on large, single headed hoop/frame drums that utilize finger dexterity rather than sticks or mallets. Their material is inspired by classical and folkloric musical traditions of Egypt, the Pan-Arabic rhythmic library (ancient and modern), North Africa, Central Asia and Western Europe.  

Hiroya Tsukamoto is a one-of-a-kind composer, guitarist and singer-songwriter from Kyoto, Japan. In 2000, Hiroya received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music and came to the United States. He's released three solo albums (“Solo”, “Heartland” and “Places”) and performs concerts both internationally and nationally, including Blue Note (NYC), United Nations and Japanese National Television (NHK).
