A daughter's story of love, loss, and goulash
Her mother is a Hungarian force of nature — all Zsa-Zsa, grand opinions, and showbiz dreams. And she's slowly waltzing into dementia. Which means her Broadway-baby, Melinda must step up, step in, and finally figure out who she is without the woman who always ran the show.
Melinda Buckley's award-winning one-woman show is outrageous, tender, and completely unforgettable.
After the performance we'll have a talkback with Carolyn DeRocco, Vice President of Programs and Education for the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter. We'll talk about issues the play raises--caregiving, what families face, and the resources available to them. Bring your questions and your stories. We’ll laugh more than you think.
The evening will also support Team MOTHER in the Western Connecticut Walk to End Alzheimer's — Saturday, October 24 at Fairfield Hills in Newtown. You can sign up to join Team MOTHER that night, or donate anytime at TEAM MOTHER.
